It's what every football fan has been waiting for
since the beginning of training camp in August, Super Bowl Sunday. And
on February 6th, the New England Patriots will battle the Philadelphia
Eagles, in Jacksonville, Florida. The real question is now that the
Eagles have finally made it to the Super Bowl, after 2 straight years of
losing in the NFC Championship Game, will they be able to win it all? Or
will the Patriots defend their title, and make it 3 out of the last 4
years as champions?
In analyzing this game, I think the key point will be whether the Eagles
will be able to move the ball on offense. I think the Eagles defense has
proven itself throughout the season, and will be able to keep the
Patriots offense pretty quiet on Super Bowl Sunday. Philadelphia has the
weapons on offense, but then again, New England has the second best
defense in the league. With questions still about Terrell Owens' health,
Donovan McNabb is going to have to step up and have the game of his
career if the Eagles are going to have a shot. Bill Belichick, the head
coach of the Patriots, is a mastermind at defense, and will disguise his
blitz packages. McNabb will have to recognize the blitzes, and if
necessary use his speed to escape the pressure. I think what is really
going to hurt the Eagles, is going to be the Patriots stopping their run
game. A majority of the Eagles yards last week against the Falcons were
on the ground, but I don't think they will have the same success against
the Patriot's superior linebackers, including Teddy Bruschi.
I think when all this is said, the Patriots will show their superiority
, and win the Super Bowl. The Eagles will play the Patriots close, but I
think the final score will be: New England - 24 Philadelphia - 14 .
